It took me a really long time, not being raised catholic with that whole purgatory nonsense, to understand that he did not mean I would die quicker than most people.
I used to live in FL. Once, my MIL and her husband came to visit. It was an okay visit, as MIL visits go. But it still took its toll. This was back in the days when you could go all the way to the gates with a traveler. The Spouse and I watched them walk down the jetway, then simultaneously high-fived each other. The people around us all cracked up.
