In Need of Jokes

My 85 year old grandmother who lives here in Florida was admitted to the hospital this past weekend with congestive heart failure.  Hospice is now involved.  Could be weeks, could be months.  Gram told me on Tuesday that she has led a good life and she has been lucky to have good kids and grand kids.  She also decided that she wants no funeral service as "all of her friends are dead and the next time someone goes to Maine could they take her cremated remains home to be buried next to Grandpa." (Yes, that will most likely be me - can't wait to explain that one during  the security search).

Someone say something funny . . .

I'm so sorry to read this. Hugs.

And a quick joke: What's red and sits in the corner? A naughty strawberry.

Oh how did I know Ms. Mac would have one!!!

No joke, but a great story.. My grandmother had congestive heart failure and quite possibly a minor stroke at age 87. She decided for the first time in her life to have a pace maker put in her. She lived for 5 or 6 years further traveling the world and enjoying each day...

It may not happen with your grandmother, but here's to hope! Hugs!

I am so sorry for your grandmother. The comfort of being able to talk openly with her is so precious, I am really glad you have this kind of connection with her.
Miracles happen, never underestimate that.
I do wish her and yourself all the comfort in the world,
Hugs,
Merisi

No joke. I haven't heard any recently. Only that kid who told one on Jay Leno's show (yes *g*) about what you'd call an icebear in Antartica (I desperately tried to watch the voting in the House last night, either on CNN or CNBC, alas fell asleep before it all was over).

So, what to you call an icebear in Antartica? ;-)

Thought I had to give you the answer to the ice bear joke: "Lost!"

Värry funny, I know.
(Jay Leno Show, after all!)
