Suggestions

As a pay back for PH's trip to Arizona, he has suggested that I take a few days away. Because of my work schedule, it doesn't appear that I can take any time until the very end of May or beginning of June. So where to go? Time period is a maximum of three to four nights. And no, I don't want to stay in Florida!

Austin, Tx - the music capital of the world, and it won't be TOO hot at that time. Or New Orleans, see what everyone's ignoring, do some volunteering. Belize?! Cheap tix from miami :)

BTW, the thornbirds is such a good book. have you read any bryce courtney?

No suggestions because I can't imagine anywhere close by that has great weather at that time, but maybe up towards your parents?

I think I'd go to North Carolina to the mountains or else Atlanta for some cool city stuff or how about Pidgin Forge, TN for the shopping. My friend is always raving about the amazing outlet malls there and there's also a lot to do in the Smoky Mountains.

...or Baltimore! That's supposed to be a great city. I have a huge list but it's nearly all cities in the South. It seems like you're trying to escape the South.

I would go to Savannah again in a heartbeat. Actually, I could live there comfortably now if we could move our family business and the schools were top notch like the ones we've already got (which the locals said, no, they're not).
Awesome city for a variety of visitors: historical, well-read, foodies, romantics. You name it, I think you'd like it, unless you've already been. In that case, go back!

OOOOOH! I was going to say Savannah too. LOVE it. I've heard Charleston is awesome too. I also have friends that go to Chicago alot - we've tried to plan a trip there before but its always fallen through.

I absolutely love Santa Fe, NM. It's not too far, and it really is like stepping into another world.
