My First Friday Feast

Here's my First Feast:

Appetizer: Tell about a toy you remember from your childhood.
I had Weebles (you know, "Weebles wobble but they don't fall down") that my neighbor stole. He peeled off their plastic faces and clothing, and painted on new faces and clothes. His mom found them and made him return them and apologize. I was the only kid with customized Weebles.

Soup: If you could make one thing in the world absolutely free for everyone, what would it be?
A quality education.

Salad: Approximately how many times per day do you think about your significant other?
It depends on the day – usually around three. However, if the kids are being whiny, it increases as I count the minutes until he gets home.

Main Course: What is something you believe in 100%?
Manners. Is it so damn hard to use please, thank-you, and you're welcome?

Dessert: Name one thing you have done this week that you would consider a "good deed."
I took a young colleague to lunch. She just moved here and I was reminded of when I moved here ten years ago and how kind people had been to me.

Enjoy the meal!

Welcome to the Friday Feast!

I don't remember if I had Weebles or not. Strange...

I just came over here from Sunshine's blog. I had to comment though, I had the Weebles and the Weebles Tree House. My mother said my Weebles Tree House is in storage, but I'm convinced she threw it out. I'm 35 and really bummed about it because I wanted my grandchildren to have it. My own children couldn't because my mother had said it was so deep in storage, she couldn't find it. I've learned "so deep in storage" means "I've thrown it out, but don't want you to know." =/

Adding to manners... cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough. Is that so hard??

Appetizer: I adored my Weebles as well. I do remember the Christmas I got not one, but TWO Barbies though. I loved my Barbies so.
Soup: Healthcare, free for everyone.
Salad: Hundreds probably. We check in with each other a lot, he really truly is my best friend.
Main Course: I believe 100% that at the end of the day, I want each one of my children to know that I love them, each day, every single day, no matter what. If I fail in a million other ways as a parent, if they only know this, I will have succeeded at what I think is the most important thing. To love them.
Dessert: It's only Monday for me, but I'll be coordinating people to take meals to a friend who is having her 2nd baby on Friday. At enough so she won't have to step foot in the kitchen for a couple weeks.
